Wines & Vines Sponsors Eastern Winery Exposition March 7 & 8, 2012

Quality Event Management announced last week that Wines & Vines is the official sponsor of the first annual Eastern Winery Exposition scheduled for March 7 & 8, 2012 at the Lancaster Convention Center in Lancaster, PA.

Eastern Winery Exposition (EWE) is an Eastern-focused wine industry trade show with a conference. The goal is to provide the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern wineries and vineyards with an easily accessible, low-cost professional meeting with a large number of winery and vineyard suppliers at the right time of year. A strong eastern-focused conference program as well as networking events will also be a highlight of EWE. Plans are under way to work closely with state associations to insure their participation.

EWE will take place at the Lancaster Convention Center and Marriott Hotel.  This stunning facility is less than two years old and is an affordable destination is within a 5 hour drive of more than 600 wineries.

EWE is the Eastern Wine industry’s trade show and conference.  It is produced by Bob Mignarri of Quality Event Management who has 29 years of trade show and conference management experience and managed the Wineries Unlimited trade show from 1994 to 2010.

The conference director is our own Richard Leahy, a renowned eastern wine expert and Wineries Unlimited program director from 2000 to 2010. Richard recently assisted in developing the very successful conference program for the Minnesota Grape Growers Associations annual Cold Climate Grape & Wine conference held this February.  His plans are to develop a practical, relevant and compelling seminar program for Eastern wineries and growers with respected industry leaders speaking on Eastern-oriented viticulture, enology, marketing, economic and environmental sustainability issues.

“We are extremely enthusiastic to support this important new trade show for the eastern wine industry. Our company is proud to be the official sponsor of the Eastern Winery Exposition,” said Chet Klingensmith, president and publisher of Wines & Vines. “The creation of the Eastern Winery Exposition will provide a great opportunity for both eastern wineries and growers to develop a community with industry suppliers on the east coast.”

Since announcing EWE on April 7th, 95 booths have been contracted. The organizers anticipate many more will be contracted in the coming months.
