On July 18, Governor and Mrs. Robert F. McDonnell hosted a reception to honor Women in Business at the Executive Mansion in Richmond. Cheryl Kellert, co-owner and co-winemaker at Gray Ghost Winery in Amissville, VA, was presented a certificate “For her vast achievements, leadership in the community, and character and dedication as a Woman in Business in the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

Gray Ghost recently celebrated its 17th anniversary, and produces a full line of outstanding wines. At a recent blind tasting, this writer judged Gray Ghost Chardonnay number one in a field that included offerings from Virginia, California, and Chablis. Not surprisingly, this wine just garnered a DOUBLE GOLD at the Indy International Wine Competition.

Gray Ghost Vineyards was established at an abandoned horse farm in beautiful Rappahannock County in 1984. For more info, visit GrayGhostVineyards.com.
