From AMY PAYETTE: Gray Ghost Strikes Gold Twice in California, Takes 10 medals total!

Gray Ghost’s 2011 Vidal Blanc captured gold at the 2012 Monterey Wine Competition held in King City, California making it a featured wine at the upcoming 19th Annual Monterey Wine Competition Grand Tasting in May! The Adieu was awarded silver at Monterey.

Gray Ghost’s Adieu also took gold at the Consumer Wine Awards in Lodi, California, making it one of only 16 non-California wines to take gold!  Gray Ghost’s 2010 Reserve Chardonnay and 2008 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon took silver while the Riesling won bronze. The Consumer Wine Awards at Lodi is unique in that it is the only California-based wine competition utilizing only consumers to evaluate entries.  Only 8% of the winning wines were from wineries outside of California!

The San Diego International awarded the Adieu and Reserve Chardonnay silver medals, while the San Francisco Chronicle Competition awarded the Adieu silver and the Reserve Chardonnay bronze.

With these recent California announcements, Gray Ghost wines have won 24 medals since the beginning of the year, 10 were earned in California!
