Stinson Tailgate Thursdays Summer 2015

Our Tailgate Thursday summer music series returns this month! Kicking off on May 21st and running through August 27th we’ll fire up the grills every Thursday from 6 to 9 pm. Bring your own food to grill and enjoy a fun, laid back night at the vineyard. With free admission and live music on the patio, it’s the perfect way to start your almost-weekend. Don’t forget to pack lawn games and picnic blankets!

Dogs and children are welcome, and meat from The Rock Barn and Free Union Grass Farm can be purchased and thawed by calling ahead. General thaw times are 30 to 45 minutes. For larger cuts and whole chickens, calling a day in advance in suggested.

Severe inclement weather may cancel the event – follow our facebook page to stay on top of updates and weekly lineups. Please note that no outside alcohol is not permitted.

Franco is a Richmond based singer/songwriter who has opened for several national touring acts. He plays a blend of rock, old school country, alt-country and blues. His music tells the tales of love and loss, introspection and redemption, current events, good times partying, and the journey that is life itself. At the heart of his music is storytelling and his family is a great source of inspiration.

Elliott has taken on songwriting subjects from love to spaceships, both badly in need of repair. He throws in unforgettable melodic hooks that keep you singing long after his performance has ended. From weekly gigs in his hometown of Charlottesville to national summer tours, Elliott is an artist that deserves attention.

Scott just released his first album in February of 2015. The heartfelt song writing on You’ve Got to Start (Over) Somewhere tells the storyline of his life. Scott describes it as “All the good times and the bad times in between. . . Some of the songs were written in times of utter chaos and confusion in my head. Others were written about being the happiest I could be in this life and feeling like nothing could stop me or stand in my way”

Born and raised in New York, Tiernan currently lives in Virginia and writes songs reminiscent of the California coast. Performing and writing pop music for over 10 years, he has a knack for producing those ‘stuck-in-your-head-the-next-day’ melodies accompanied by truthful and honest lyrics that lift your soul. Tiernan’s music is passionate, lively and super catchy!
